24-25 January 2017, Berlin

Revisiting the remarketing value chain to enhance the business and maximise profits

With used car prices softening and new vehicle transaction prices going up, the industry is beginning to see a return of the New vs. Used competition. This year’s agenda is highlighting two key concepts: disruptive innovations and the emerging importance of e-business within remarketing to cover market dynamics and practices that have adjusted well to the market over the years.

The summit will have an in-depth analysis of the technological challenges and concerns and how they would impact the future of the European market for new and used cars. As the industry continues to grow and evolve, we will also keep an eye on current trends that impact the industry such as price fluctuation, market changes and new ownership concepts.

Join us in Berlin for this one-of-a-kind event that focuses on improving the industry and guiding you through a rapidly evolving business environment.

We will tackle key issues through a mixture of strategic sessions, case studies, panel and round table discussions on key topics such as:

  • The impact of digitalisation on the used cars and remarketing landscapes
  • Consumer confidence and its impact on new and used car sales
  • The role of new vehicle technology in remarketing and used car strategies
  • Retailer profitability: Improving retailer performance
  • Cross border challenges: VAT, taxation & country to country regulations
  • Leveraging big data and connected technology in the future management of automotive remarketing

Who should attend?

The executives that will realise the greatest benefit through attendance are responsible for:

  • Vehicle Remarketing
  • Used Car Strategy
  • Fleet
  • Rental
  • Operations
  • Sales
  • Business Development

The BDL (the Federal Association of German Leasing Companies) is the Berlin-based umbrella organization that represents the interests of the German leasing sector.

51 percent of all externally financed investments, and 22.7 percent of overall investments in machinery and equipment, are made through leasing agreements. In fifty years, leasing in Germany has established itself as the number-one investment tool in all branches of industry and commerce, and, in particular, in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector.

Around 175 leasing companies, ranging from medium-sized businesses to international leasing concerns, have joined forces under the aegis of the BDL to engage in dialogue with legislators, public authorities, and the interested public at large about the possibilities this form of financing offers. The BDL’s membership accounts for more than 90 percent of the German leasing-market, so it can justly claim to be the central forum for discussion of all matters relating to leasing in Germany.
