16-17 January 2018, Berlin

Optimizing resources to ensure the sustainability of the food & beverage industry

Over the past decade, sustainability has moved from being a novel concept and a PR badge to being a strategic part of core business operations. It has become critical for food producers to connect the dots between sourcing raw materials, diet, social equality, and environmental impact as each of these elements have the power to severely impact the bottom line. Issues like hunger, nutrition, food security, resource scarcity, climate change and social disparity need our attention now more than ever.

The 6th annual summit will focus on the importance of developing a sustainable value chain in the food production and consumption cycle. We aim to highlight the latest innovations and initiatives for sustainable development of businesses. We invite you to engage in roundtable discussions about best practices and case studies of challenges and solutions from industry leaders.

The objective of this event is to provide participants with practical business ideas and roadmaps to successfully implement their sustainability strategies and achieve companywide goals.

Key topics this year include:

  • Overcoming supply chain challenges and resource scarcity
  • Implementing initiatives to improve system resilience and responsible sourcing
  • Incorporating circular economy principles into your business strategy
  • Communication and information sharing at multi-stakeholder levels: Reporting, certification and transparency
  • Food waste and overconsumption: Strategies to combat this growing problem
  • UN’s SDG2030: Converting goals and targets into actionable strategies
  • Climate change and its impact on the bottom line

Who should attend?

The executives that will realise the greatest benefit through attendance are Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors, Heads and Managers of:

  • Sustainability
  • Environment
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Supply Chain
  • Procurement
  • Sustainable Packaging
  • Product Development
