In this current climate, the main challenge that still remains is that of dealer re-structuring and consolidation. There is still a vital need for dealers to analyse past years activities to design a successful strategy for a profitable future. OEMs and dealers need to identify the key factors that have influenced their performance and work together to ensure stable sales growth.
It is time for streamlining the dealer network to lower costs and maximise profit, and the industry itself must develop new initiatives to ensure both improved car sales and service loyalty.
